  • The Maharashtra Ownership Flats (Regulation of the Promotion of Construction, Sale Management and Transfer) Act, 1963.

Under Ownership Act, the Builders, Developers, Land Lords, after sale of Flats has to form the Co-op. Housing Society and hand over the Management affairs to the Members Committee.

Due to Industrialization in Mumbai, Thane and other area more people were migrated. Other than this existing population increased. This created need of more Accomodations.
